When I lived in Brussels my local bakery was Le Pain Quotidien. I loved sitting at the wooden communal table sharing jars of jam and nutella with the other diners.

The ham and Gruyere cheese omelette with a side salad and bread is a nice start to the day. The bakery has three jams and a brunette sweet spread available for guests.

Le Pain Quotidien has a few branches in Tokyo, including at Roppongi in the Midtown Mall. The breakfast set includes a croissant or pain du chocolat, baguette, and sourdough bread with coffee in a bowl and juice.

Le Pain Quotidien at Roppongi opens at 8:00 a.m. The large restaurant was very quiet so easy to socially distance in the morning. There is also outdoor seating.
