I love the small luxury of having breakfast at nice hotels in Tokyo. The avocado toast at The Tokyo Edition hotel in Kamiyachō. Smashed avocado over grainy toast with two poached eggs.

The Blue Room at The Edition is on the 31st floor. From my window seat I watch as people make their way to the office like little ants marching.

The Tokyo Edition also has some fabulous public spaces in the grandiose lobby. It was quiet in the morning but when I returned in the afternoon it was abuzz.

The Tokyo Edition is in the Marriott. There were lots of non-Japanese staff which was unusual. Most of the guests dining at The Blue Room were also from overseas. The first time since the pandemic since I heard so much English being spoken. I felt like I was almost back in the US. The hotel is located just above the Hibiya line Kamiyachō station.
