Bank Bakery

Pate de Campagne at Bank Bakery

The Kabutocho area of Nihonbashi, long a quiet part of the city, is now a vibrant and cool spot with coffee shops, cafes, and an amazing bakery called Bank.

@bank_bakery_tokyo has a colorful selection of sandwiches, tartines, breads, and some pastries. The pate de campagne sando is a thick slice and includes bacon, pickled red cabbage, and simmered apples. It was fantastic and I was sad to take the last bite.

In the same space of the bakery is a bistro, @yen_bistro_bakery,that was buzzing at lunchtime. The salad was dusted with a smokey paprika. A unique and delightful surprise. The duck confit was with a classic tart sauce. The lunch comes with toasted bread from the bakery, including a corn and blue cheese bread that was also enlightening.

In the basement is a cafe, next on my list to check out. I am most happy that the bakery opens at 8:00 a.m. Bookmark Bank if you love bread.
