Delightful ramen and sushi cooking class in downtown Tokyo is a fun three-hour hands on experience.

I learned how to shape nigiri zushi as the instructions, in English, gave helpful tips.

It was the first time I confidently and successfully made nigiri zushi!

At home we often do temaki zushi hand rolls or chirashi zushi scattered sushi.

I learned how to make chashu pork belly, soup, and a soy sauce tare, from the marinated pork for the bowl of ramen.

Picked up a tip on drying katsuobushi for the ramen soup and more. Both the ramen and the sushi were delicious.

The class helps to demystify both ramen and sushi. It also introduced three new sake – from Ishikawa, Saga, and Fukuoka.

An excellent value at 20,000 yen (about $125) which includes beer and sake selected to pair with the cuisine.
