Wako is our neighborhood #tonkatsu shop. Lunch for three for only ¥4,000 ($28). Check out the lunch specials on the board. Many at only ¥1,000 ($7). Wako also provides complimentary refills of cabbage, rice, and miso soup.

Many tonkatsu shops offer this so don’t be shy. Ask. Just be sure to try and not leave leftover rice. I usually ask for gohan sukuname, a smaller portion. ☺️

The Karin lunch special is a filet, squid, and minced meat with cheese for only ¥1,130 ($8).🥰

Wako offers three sauces. Tonkatsu sauce which is sweet and can also be used for the cabbage. The other two sauces are for the cabbage are a creamy goma sesame dressing or a tart yuzu ponzu.

The kid’s set lunch is smaller and perfect for little ones. There is a Wako at Tokyo Station at #Daimaru department store. When I met a girlfriend here there is room at the restaurant to hold big luggage. #omotenashi
