Nagasaki Antenna Shop

Handmade sōmen noodles.

Antenna shops are stores the features food and crafts representing one of Japan’s 47 prefectures. These are fantastic sources for hyper-local products and some also offer travel information if you’re visiting a prefecture. We love researching local train and bus schedules, museum exhibits, and find out about kyōdo ryōri local dishes. Some of the antenna shops have restaurants which is the next best thing to traveling to the region.

Nagasaki is in the southern part of Japan in Kyūshū. The Nihonbashi Nagasaki Kan shop serves handmade sōmen wheat noodles that are super thin. Nagasaki is also famous for its seafood. The shop has a donburi rice bowl topped with yellowtail and horse mackerel, both wild, that is marinated in a sweet soy sauce.

The retail shop has a variety of products including pantry staples like soy sauce, miso, sea vegetables, noodles, and local sweets.
