At Haneda Airport near Terminal Three is the Villa Fontaine Hotel with an onsen hot springs @izumitenkunoyu. The location is ideal if you have an early flight or a late arrival into Tokyo.

The room is basic but I am mostly here for the onsen and for a bed that is near the airport so I am not traveling either late at night or early in the morning.

The onsen is big and has several baths both indoors and outdoors. The onsen for women overlooks the industrial area of Kawaski so there are factories. It also has a view of Fuji san if the weather is good. The baths do close daily from about 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for cleaning. There is also an area with lounge chairs that overlooks the airport.

Inside the onsen area is a restaurant – also with a nice view of Fuji san. The sommelier there was very friendly and knowledgeable. I love the restaurants at Haneda Airport Terminal Three including Konga for onigiri and Tsurutontan for udon, but also enjoyed the quiet space for a break.

The hotel is a short walk from Terminal Three. It is connected to the airport and travelers can put their luggage on a cart and push the cart to the hotel and back.

To go to the city from here both the Keikyu train line and the monorail both stop at Haneda Terminal Three.
