Prime Sake

Food and drinks writer Betsy Andrews.

Delighted to finally meet @betsyandrews. We connected at Haneda Airport. No better place to chat than at the new @prime_sake #nihonshu bar at Terminal Three.

Prime Sake

Interesting concept, especially when you read the saké 🍶 menu. No mention of junmaishu or polishing terms like ginjō.

Menu of saké-friendly small bites like smoked cheese and daikon pickles from Akita or thick shaved katsuobushi skipjack tuna flakes.

Small collection of saké vessels including thin @kimuraglass ware.

Prime Saké is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Haneda Terminsl Three before security. Check in your luggage and then enjoy a cup or two before flying home.

If you’re lucky a famous food and drinks writer will be at the airport at the same time. Betsy is an award-winning journalist including the prestigious James Beard. She’s nominated again this year. Woo hoo!
