My first meal at Tsukiji Market when I worked for a Japanese seafood company was at Toto Grill @totogurill. The busy shop was filled with fishmongers. It’s very quiet now that the wholesale market has moved to Toyosu. A local spot for breakfast away from the chaotic crowds of Tsukiji.

The daily specials are always a solid bet. This day one of the specials was chicken katsu with tuna sashimi donburi. A bargain at only 950 yen ($6.50).

Toto Grill is located in a basement on the far edge of Tsukiji Market. I also love it as I can catch my morning television program. 🙂 Not sure if there’s an English menu, so use your Google translate!
