Delightful #teishoku set lunch at #Nishiogikubo Shōan Bunko. Grouper katsu (breaded and deep-fried), ten different vegetables, miso soup, and rice from Hinata Yamazaki san. Dessert was cheese cake with salt and iced coffee. A nice way to forget about the heat and humidity which is hitting Tokyo at the moment.
It’s also the lovely tableware and perfect thin chopsticks. There is a small select shop in the front of the kominka traditional house. It is in a residential area. Charming setting.

The café is about a ten-minute walk south of #NishiOgikubo Station on the @chuosuki JR Chūō line.
I first wrote about Shouan Bunko for the Washington Post’s @bytheway guide to Tokyo:

I hope you can visit when you visit Tokyo. Be sure to make reservations in advance as it’s a popular shop.
