In Kyōto station is Doi, a tsukemono Japanese pickles buffet restaurant. There is a selection of pickles and vegetable dishes. Kyoto is famous for pickles and there are a few pickle companies that have restaurants associated with them including Kintame and Nishiri. If you love tsukemono do plan on having one meal in Kyoto at a pickle restaurant.

Doi is on the south side of the station in the station building in an area called Asty Road on the street level first floor. There is a retail shop in front of the restaurant. Doi is also open for a morning breakfast buffet from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. As it’s in the station it is a popular restaurant.
